To learn how to Convert Itunes Format Music (AAC) to MP3 on the ACOUZTIC, please watch this video or follow the steps below:
Itunes Format Music (AAC) can only be played back on Apple devices and must be converted to MP3 format for playback on the ACOUZTIC. There are two methods of converting the music files from within Itunes:
Method 1
- Within Itunes on either Mac or Windows, Right click on desired AAC music file.
- When the menu opens, Click “Create MP3 Version”
- The MP3s should be located in the same folder as the original AAC format. (Just be aware that you’ll have TWO copies of that song in iTunes — one in the original AAC format and one in MP3 format.)
- This method may not work for all AAC files since some files have built in digital copy protection. (If Method 1 doesn’t work for those files, then convert them with Method 2.)
- Drag the newly converted files (from the folder, NOT from Itunes) over to your ACOUZTIC’s folder for playback on your ACOUZTIC.
- Eject your ACOUZTIC and enjoy music anywhere.
Method 2
- In iTunes 8 and newer, go to Edit / Preferences / General and click the Import Settingsbutton. In older versions of iTunes, click on Edit / Preferences / Importing (or Edit / Preferences / Advanced / Importing). Your goal is to change the Import Using from the default setting to “MP3 Encoder”.
- Create a playlist to burn an Audio CD, then burn Audio CD as usual.
- When the Audio CD is completed, re-insert the CD to re-import the files back to your computer
- These files will be imported as MP3’s and should be located in the same folder as the original AAC format. (Just be aware that you’ll have TWO copies of that song in iTunes — one in the original AAC format and one in MP3 format.)
- Drag the newly converted files (from the folder, NOT from Itunes) over to your ACOUZTIC’s folder for playback on your ACOUZTIC.
- Eject your ACOUZTIC and enjoy music anywhere.
